Windsor Great Park
Windsor Great Park contains 4,800 acres of sweeping parkland, award winning gardens, ancient woodlands and forest trails. Crowned by stunning Windsor castle – the largest and oldest inhabited castle in the world, and the Queen’s favourite weekend home. Windsor Castle is open to the public all year round with the exception of 25 & 26 December. The park also contains Savill Garden which is one of the country’s leading ornamental gardens and is situated within the park, offering an inspirational and tranquil setting.
Horse Racing
The Old Farmhouse is only 5 Minutes from Royal Windsor Racecourse. Royal Windsor Racecourse is set in 165 acres of stunning Berkshire countryside, on the River Thames and in the shadow of Windsor Castle. It hosts 27 fixtures a year between April and October, featuring the famous Monday night Racing, Best of British Festival and Ladies Day. Royal Windsor Racecourse offers thrilling racing, stunning settings and first-class hospitality.
Not much further away is Ascot Racecourse, home of the world famous Royal Ascot event and one of the most prestigious sporting events hosted each year. This fabulous venue has a busy programme of horse racing events as well as less equestrian-based entertainments.
Legoland
Families looking for a fun filled day out can visit Legoland Windsor, the UK’s favourite theme park which is just a short drive from Oakley Green. With over 55 rides and a huge selection of events, this is guaranteed to bring a smile to the face of children, large and small!
